Let’s talk about the cutest town ever – Helen, Georgia.
My husband and I visited this cute little German inspired town in mid-January for a weekend road trip.
A re-creation of a German village, Helen is famous for its vineyards and Bavarian-style buildings, it has a very peaceful, old school vintage vibe to it.
You can see carriage rides and vintage cars on roads which take you back in time.
Quaint restaurants, ice cream shops, hot dog shops, people playing various musical instruments, you just can’t get enough of this fairy tale – like – town!
It really does feel like walking into those childhood story books which had European countryside houses and women wearing milkmaid dresses and braids. Okay, so there was no one dressed like that, but there was a stand where you can take pictures just like this one.
This was so much fun!
Also, we got to see an amazingly chilled out guy with his cool bike and pet parrot going around, greeting people and clicking pictures with kids. That was really a memorable part of the trip.
After strolling through the streets, we took an ice cream break in a small shop called “Homemade Ice Cream, Gifts & More.” It was easily one of the best ice-creams I ever had – super creamy, fresh and full of flavor.
And not to miss, it is a blessing for adventure lovers. Anna Ruby Waterfalls, trails, hikes, camping, giant swings, water tubing, river rafting in the Chattahoochee, Ziplining… to mention a few.
People usually rent a Cabin on the riverside and enjoy a relaxing stay there.
Though I went for a one day trip, I had the most amazing time in Helen.
Cannot wait to go back and explore more next time.
